Ray Caldwell came through with a solid 9 innings and Bill Sweeney had 2 base
hits as the St. Louis-AL Browns defeated the Detroit Tigers by a score of 3
to 0 at Bennett Park.

Detroit found themselves trailing quickly as the St. Louis-AL bats came
through in the first inning scoring one runner.  That early scoring held up.
St. Louis-AL had just 6 hits for the afternoon.
