The Cleveland Indians and the Brooklyn Dodgers locked up in an exciting
one-run game at Ebbets Field. The final score was the Cleveland Indians 6,
the Brooklyn Dodgers 5.

The game was won by Cleveland when they scored a run in the 9th inning.
Willie Jones slapped a base-hit. Frank House stepped up next and he banged
out a single. After an out was recorded, Dick Groat then lined a one-base
hit scoring the run. Brooklyn scored in 5 different innings, but their shaky
pitching kept them from victory.

Don Mossi(2-2) allowed no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Mossi got help from Bob Feller who was credited with his 7th save.
The losing pitcher was Luis Arroyo(5-7) in relief.
