Charlie Knepper pitched a complete game at Union Park as the Cleveland Spiders
beat the Baltimore Orioles by the count of 3 to 2.

The game was decided in the 9th inning. After an out was recorded, Joe Quinn
delivered a one-base hit. Suter Sullivan was next and he was hit by a pitch.
One out later, Tommy Tucker then ripped a single scoring the run. Both
teams finished the game with 10 hits.

Knepper(1-9) allowed 2 runs on the game. The losing pitcher was Harry
Howell(5-5). 'Ahhh, that victory was surely needed. Man alive, things were
getting awfully grim,' noted Quinn. 'Now, we need to string a bunch of wins
together and turn things around!'
