Center fielder Herm McFarland smacked 3 triples and had 3 RBI and John Deering
completed the game without help from the bullpen as the New York Highlanders
defeated the Boston Americans 13 to 7 at Huntington Ave Grnds.

McFarland provided much of the offense.  He tripled which scored a run in the
1st inning, tripled in the 3rd inning and tripled plating two runs in the 7th
inning.  New York had a total of 19 hits for the game.  

Deering(3-7) finished the game allowing 7 runs in the victory. Bill
Dinneen(13-6) suffered the loss.  He was hit hard and gave up 19 hits and 3
walks in 9 innings.
