The St. Louis-AL Browns batters feasted on the Detroit Tigers pitching at
Bennett Park.  The final score was a lop-sided 11 to 3.

St. Louis-AL had 5 runs cross the plate in the 6th inning when they came up
with 6 base hits.  The key at-bat was by Jimmy Slagle who quieted the crowd
when he tripled which was good for two runs.  St. Louis-AL ended up with 19
hits for the game while Detroit had 7.  

Tully Sparks(6-7) allowed 3 runs in 5 innings, and picked up the victory.
Harry Howell was credited with his 12th save.  Clarence Currie(3-7) took the
loss.  St. Louis-AL knocked him around a bit, as he gave up 7 runs in 6
innings.
