Center fielder Ginger Beaumont had 4 hits and 4 RBI as the Boston-AL Americans
defeated the St. Louis-AL Browns in 10 innings by the score of 9 to 8 at
Huntington Ave Grnds.

The score was knotted at 8 after nine innings. Boston-AL won the game in the
10th inning.  After an out was recorded, Mike Powers slapped a one-base hit.
Jim Delahanty stepped up to the plate and he ripped a base-hit.  Kid Gleason
then laced a single to load the bases.  Beaumont followed and he stroked a
base-hit giving Boston-AL the win as 7,640 happy fans joyfully celebrated.
Overall Boston-AL out-hit St. Louis-AL 18 to 15.  

Al Orth(5-3) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the win. Addie Joss(8-10)
suffered the loss in relief.  He allowed 3 runs and 8 hits in 1 and 1/3
innings.
