Tom Hughes was on top of his game, blanking St. Louis on just 3 hits at
Sportsmans Park as the Washington Nationals beat the St. Louis Browns 4 to
0.

Hughes(11-6) simply dominated St. Louis.  He gave up just 3 hits and 1 walk in
9 innings.  Washington finished with just 6 hits in the victory.  

Jack Powell(10-9) was hit with the loss.  He gave up only 6 hits and 1 walk in
9 innings.  'He had his 'A' game today,' Joe Cantillon said of Hughes.  'Very
impressive performance.'
