Eddie Cicotte tossed a complete game at American League Park as the Washington
Nationals beat the hopeless Detroit Tigers by the count of 7 to 1.

Heinie Zimmerman made sure the Washington fans enjoyed themselves.  He tripled
which was good for two runs in the 1st inning and doubled bringing in two
baserunners in the 3rd inning.  Washington and Detroit each finished the
afternoon with 8 hits.  

The win went to Cicotte(4-10) who allowed 1 run in the game. Ray Fisher(1-6)
was the losing pitcher.  He surrendered 8 hits and 4 walks in 8 innings.
