Cleveland Indians by a score of 11 to 4.
Chicago-NL promptly took the lead in their half of the first when they tallied
4 runs on 3 hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Pee Wee Reese who
quieted the crowd when he ripped a single bringing home two baserunners. For
the game Chicago-NL out-hit Cleveland 15 to 6.
Whitey Ford(12-5) was the winner allowing 1 run in 7 innings. Bob Feller(3-9)
absorbed the loss. Chicago-NL scored big getting 6 runs off him in 5
