Center fielder Larry Doby smashed 2 homeruns at Yankee Stadium as the
Cincinnati Reds beat the New York-AL Yankees 12 to 4.

Doby enjoyed a big evening at the plate.  He quieted the crowd by clouting a
Grand Slam in the 3rd inning and launched a Grand Slam homerun in the 4th
inning.  Cincinnati totaled 10 hits on the night.  

The win went to Russ Meyer(5-5) who allowed 3 runs in 6 innings. Paul Minner
earned his 1st save.  Willard Nixon(4-3) was hit with the loss.  He was not
very effective, surrendering 8 runs in 3 innings.  

Wth the win Cincinnati now has a record of 45-41.  New York-AL has a record of
42-40 after the loss.
