Honus Wagner had 2 base hits as the New York-NL Giants topped the Washington
Nationals in 10 innings by a score of 5 to 4 at Polo Grounds.

Both teams were tied at 4 runs apiece after nine innings.  New York-NL was
victorious in the 10th inning.  Chris Lindsay ripped a base-hit.  Bill
Duggleby stepped into the batter's box and he laid down a sacrifice bunt.
Wagner then drew a walk.  Cy Seymour followed next and he drew a walk to load
the bases.  Miller Huggins stepped into the box and hit a single resulting in
a mighty exciting win for New York-NL and the 11,154 home town fans in
attendance.  Both teams ended up with 11 hits on the afternoon.

Duggleby(4-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 2 innings and allowing no
runs. Bob Ewing(8-8) took the loss.  He allowed 10 hits and 3 walks in 9 and
1/3 innings.
