In a one-sided affiar at Griffith Stadium the final score was the Brooklyn
Dodgers 10, the Washington Nationals 4.

Jim Gilliam was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he
provided much of the offense for the visitors.  He tripled in the 1st inning,
cleared the fences for a two-run home run in the 2nd inning and doubled in
the 8th inning.  Brooklyn ended up with 13 hits for the game while Washington
had 8.  

Clem Labine(7-8) got the win allowing no runs in 4 and 1/3 innings. Bob
Rush(1-5) was charged with the loss.  He allowed 13 hits and 7 walks in 8
innings.  

Wth the win Brooklyn now has a record of 46-57.  Washington has a record of
48-55 after the loss.
