Duke Snider cracked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Chicago-NL Cubs outscored
the Cleveland Indians 13 to 6.

Snider had a good day at the plate. He delivered a base-hit in the 6th
inning, clubbed a solo home run in the 8th inning and clubbed a two-run home
run in the 9th inning. Chicago-NL ended up with 17 hits for the game while
Cleveland had 9.

Sal Maglie(9-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 and 1/3 innings and
allowing 6 runs. George Susce(3-4) was hit with the loss. He allowed a few
too many baserunners giving up 8 hits and 4 walks in 3 and 2/3 innings.

Center fielder Al Kaline had 4 hits and 5 RBI but despite his efforts, it
wasn't enough to put Cleveland over the top.
