In a startling finish the New York-AL Yankees staged a comeback then held on
to win over the Pittsburgh Pirates by a score of 6 to 5 at Forbes
Field.

Pittsburgh was unable to climb back into it after New York-AL went ahead for
good in the top of the 2nd inning when they scored 2 runs on 3 hits.  New
York-AL out-hit Pittsburgh for the game, 13 hits to 9.  

Ned Garver(9-7) allowed 3 runs in 8 innings, and picked up the victory. Early
Wynn(6-7) took the loss.  He was hit hard and gave up 10 hits and 5 walks in
7 innings.  

Wth the win New York-AL now has a record of 43-48.  With the loss, Pittsburgh
has a record of 4-6 lately, 44-35 overall.
