Mark Baldwin had a complete game as the Chicago White Stockings beat the
Boston Beaneaters by a score of 7 to 3.

Chicago scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning when they had 3 base
hits.  The big moment was provided by Jimmy Ryan who excited the crowd when
he cracked a two-run shot.  Chicago rapped out 13 hits for the afternoon.

The win was credited to Baldwin(17-8) who went the whole way allowing 3 runs.
Old Hoss Radbourn(10-17) was charged with the loss.  He got hit hard,
allowing 13 hits and 3 walks in 8 innings.
