Matt Kilroy went the distance as the Boston Reds topped the reeling Cleveland
Infants by a score of 8 to 6 at Brotherhood Park.

Boston had the game winning rally in the 9th inning with 2 runs using 2 hits.
After two outs Kilroy got things going when he stroked a one-base hit.  Tom
Brown stepped into the batter's box and he drew a walk.  Harry Stovey then
doubled which was good for two runs.  Boston won despite being out-hit by
Cleveland 12 hits to 8.  

Kilroy(10-6) allowed 6 runs on the game. The loss was charged to Henry
Gruber(11-11).  He surrendered 8 runs and 8 hits in 8 and 2/3 innings.
