Bill Dinneen allowed Boston's manager to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete
game as the Boston Americans bested the St. Louis Browns in 13 innings 6 to 5
at Huntington Ave Grnds.

The score was knotted at 4 after nine innings. Boston won the game in the 13th
inning.  Lou Criger kicked off the action when he reached on an error.  Kip
Selbach came to the plate and lashed a single knocking in a run.  Selbach
took second on a stolen base.  Freddy Parent came up and he smacked a
one-base hit giving Boston the victory as 5,979 happy fans celebrated wildly.
Boston had a total of 12 hits for the game.  

Dinneen(8-13) finished the game allowing 5 runs in the victory. Jim
Buchanan(0-6) was tagged with the loss in relief.  Wth the win Boston now has
a record of 42-40.  With this loss, St. Louis has a 3-7 record of late, 34-50
overall.
