Ham Hyatt hit one over the fence and had 4 RBI as the Pittsburgh Pirates bested the St. Louis-AL Browns 7 to 5 at Sportsman'S Park. The St. Louis-AL fans didn't appreciate the big day Hyatt had. He smacked a single bringing in a run in the 3rd inning, stroked a one-base hit resulting in a run in the 6th inning and blasted a two-run home run in the 8th inning. This was the kind of game that many fans love as the lead changed hands 5 times. Vean Gregg(6-11) allowed 4 runs in 7 innings, and picked up the victory. Gregg was helped out by Carl Zamloch who recorded his 9th save. Claude Hendrix(8-7) was tagged with the loss. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 14 hits and 7 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings.
