Third baseman Honus Wagner cracked a homer and had 2 RBI and Chick Fraser
completed the game without help from the bullpen at Eclipse Park as the
Louisville Colonels beat the New York Giants in 11 innings 9 to 8.

Both teams had scored 8 runs after nine full innings.  Louisville won the hard
fought contest in the 11th inning.  Malachi Kittridge drew a walk.  Fraser
stepped into the batter's box and he banged out a single.  Fred Clarke then
laid down a sacrifice bunt.  Dummy Hoy was up next and he slapped a base-hit
resulting in an exciting win for Louisville and a wild post-game celebration
by the home town fans.  Louisville managed 16 hits in their victory.  

The winning pitcher was Fraser(8-14) who allowed 8 runs for the game. Bill
Carrick(0-1) was tagged with the loss.  He was touched for 16 hits and 4
walks in 10 and 1/3 innings.
