WEB GEMS- Bot 5th: Zeke Wrigley robbed Bill Lange of a base hit.

Bill Lange had 2 base hits and 4 RBI and Clark Griffith pitched a complete
game as the potent Chicago Orphans really laid it on the Washington Senators
15 to 2.

Chicago took the lead for keeps in the 2nd inning when they came up with 5
runs on 3 hits. The early run support proved sufficient for Griffith(21-3)
and Chicago. That was all the run support Griffith required. Chicago bats
were hot in the 2nd inning which saw them plate 5 runs on 3 hits and the 4th
inning with 7 runs on 6 hits. Chicago finished with 13 hits in the victory.

Charlie Weber(0-1) absorbed the loss. He got hammered, allowing 9 hits and 3
walks in 3 and 1/3 innings.
