Left fielder Jimmy Sheckard had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Cincinnati Reds
defeated the St. Louis-NL Cardinals in 10 innings by the score of 7 to 6 at
Robison Field.
The score was tied at 6 after nine. Finally, Cincinnati pulled the game out
in the 10th inning. Jimmy Ryan ripped a base-knock. Jimmy Barrett stepped
up to the plate and he drew a walk. Sheckard then grounded into a double
play. Sam Mertes was up next and he reached on an error scoring the run.
