Jake Beckley smashed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Pittsburg Pirates topped
the St. Louis Browns by a score of 12 to 6 at Robison Field.

The St. Louis fans didn't appreciate the big day Beckley had. He clubbed a
solo home run in the 3rd inning, laced a one-base hit resulting in a run in
the 5th inning and bombed a two-run dinger in the 8th inning. The Pittsburg
offense was great, scoring in 7 of the 9 innings.

The victory went to Ad Gumbert(6-2) who went 8 and 1/3 innings, allowing 6
runs. Ted Breitenstein(12-15) was the losing pitcher. He surrended 3
homeruns in his 9 innings.

'Actually, I didn't feel that comfortable at the plate today' Beckley said
after the game. 'Despite that, I'm happy with the results!
