Frank Shugart collected 2 extra-base hits and Gus Weyhing pitched a complete
game at Eclipse Park where the Louisville Colonels beat the St. Louis Browns
5 to 2.

St. Louis was unable to climb back into it after Louisville went ahead for
good in the 2nd inning plating an isolated run on 2 base hits.  The St. Louis
bats were silent in the 9th.  

Weyhing(4-10), allowing 2 runs for the game, picked up the victory. The loss
was charged to Ted Breitenstein(13-17).  He pitched 8 innings giving up 8
hits and 6 walks.
