Chick Fraser had a complete game at Robison Field as the Louisville Colonels
won in dramatic fashion coming back to beat the pathetic St. Louis Browns by
the count of 9 to 3.
St. Louis was unable to overcome the big offensive rally by Louisville in the
9th inning as they ripped St. Louis for 7 runs on 6 hits. The crucial at-bat
was provided by General Stafford who deflated the crowd as he slapped a
base-hit plating two runs. Louisville finished with 11 hits in the victory.
Fraser(4-16) finished the game allowing 3 runs in the victory. Bill Hart(3-18)
was the losing pitcher. 'Fred Clarke was estatic following the game, 'You
love stealing one on the road like this. We just kept plugging away until we
pulled it out!'
