Bill Hill(7-9) finally bested his Pittsburg opposite, Jack Chesbro(0-6), by the score of 3 to 0. The score was knotted at zero after nine innings. Baltimore won it in the 10th inning. George Magoon led off and started the attack as he reached on an error. Wilbert Robinson followed and he drew a walk. After an out was recorded, John McGraw then drew a walk to load the bases. One out later, Jimmy Sheckard came to the plate and singled driving home two runs. Steve Brodie came up to bat and laced a single scoring the final run of the inning. Baltimore managed 10 hits in their victory. Kit McKenna earned his 2nd save. The loss was charged to Chesbro. He was the victim of a defensive lapse and did not allow an earned run in the game.
