Ed Killian delivered 9 solid innings and Fred Tenney had 3 base hits and
scored 3 times at Sportsman'S Park as the St. Louis-AL Browns beat the
Washington Senators by the count of 8 to 1.

In the bottom of the 2nd inning St. Louis-AL went on top for good scoring 2
runs utilizing 2 base hits. After an out was recorded, Harry Steinfeldt
jump-started the rally as he drew a walk. Hobe Ferris next to the plate and
he ripped a base-knock. Harry Bemis then worked the squeeze play to
perfection knocking in a run. Tenney followed next and he singled, and an
error was also committed, scoring the final run of the inning. That early
run support was enough for Killian(5-10) and St. Louis-AL. St. Louis-AL
finished with 11 hits in the victory.

Beany Jacobson(2-4) took the loss. 'I thought it was my best performance in a
long time,' said Killian. 'I had good command early in the game. I had my
control and composure and everything went well.'
