Red Ehret pitched a complete game as the Syracuse Stars were badly beaten by
the Louisville Colonels, 26 to 1.
Farmer Weaver had a big day at the plate. He delivered a base-hit in the 3rd
inning, stroked a single which brought home a run in the 8th inning and
tripled plating three runs in the 8th inning. Louisville provided plenty of
action in the 1st inning which saw them score 5 runs on 3 hits and the 8th
inning when they had 13 runs on 9 hits. Louisville rapped out 20 hits for
the afternoon.
The winning pitcher was Ehret(15-11) who allowed 1 run for the game. Ezra
Lincoln(0-2) took the loss. He was knocked around, surrendering 11 runs in 2
and 2/3 innings.
