Henry Clarke had a complete game at Eclipse Park as the Cleveland Spiders
embarrassed the pitiful Louisville Colonels by the lopsided score of 17 to
5.

Cupid Childs enjoyed a fine day at the plate.  He tripled plating three runs
in the 2nd inning and stroked a single resulting in a run in the 4th inning.
Cleveland bats were hot in the 2nd inning when they had 5 runs on 4 hits and
the 6th inning which saw them score 5 runs on 4 hits.  Cleveland had 18 hits
for the afternoon.  

The victory was credited to Clarke(5-0) who went the distance, allowing 5
runs. Roy Evans(3-8) was the losing pitcher.  He got hammered, allowing 18
hits and 4 walks in 9 innings.
