Togie Pittinger pitched a complete game as the Boston Beaneaters topped the
Brooklyn Superbas by a score of 7 to 5 at South End Grounds.

Boston scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning when they came up with 6
base hits.  They ended up being the winning runs.  Boston rapped out 11 hits
for the afternoon.  

Pittinger(6-13) finished the game allowing 5 runs in the victory. Jim
Hughes(7-9) was the loser.  He was hit hard and gave up 11 hits and 4 walks
in 8 innings.
