WEB GEMS- Top 9th: Art Devlin robbed Danny Green of a base hit.

Right fielder John Titus went yard and had 4 RBI at Baker Bowl as the
Philadelphia-NL Phillies beat the woeful Washington Senators by the count of
7 to 3.

The Philadelphia-NL fans enjoyed the offense provided by Titus. He cleared
the fences for a two-run home run in the 1st inning and tripled scoring two
baserunners in the 4th inning. Philadelphia-NL ended up with 13 hits for the
game while Washington had 7.

Fred Glade(6-12) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 8 and 1/3 innings.
Hooks Wiltse(3-10) ended up with the loss. He got hammered, allowing 11 hits
and 4 walks in 6 innings.

The Philadelphia-NL ballclub's record now stands at 60-44. Bart Ewing was
unhappy with his club's recent performance. 'We can't keep losing games' he
said. 'It gets to be embarrassing after a while.'
