George Suggs had an impressive outing and Eddie Collins had 3 base hits as the
Brooklyn Dodgers bested the Chicago-NL Cubs in 12 innings 3 to 2 at
Washington Park.

The game was deadlocked at 2 after nine full innings. Brooklyn won the game in
the 12th inning.  Tom Jones stroked a single.  Collins stepped into the
batter's box and he laid down a sacrifice bunt.  After another out, Mike
Mitchell was walked intentionally.  Harry Steinfeldt followed and he doubled
resulting in an exciting win for Brooklyn and a wild post-game celebration by
the home town fans.  Brooklyn banged out 8 hits on the afternoon.  

The win was credited to Suggs(4-1) who went 4 innings allowing no runs. Rube
Kroh(5-5) was tagged with the loss in relief.  

Wth the win Brooklyn now has a record of 61-48.  Chicago-NL has a record of
54-55 after the loss.
