Johnny Lush had a complete game at Washington Park as the St. Louis Cardinals
beat the Brooklyn Superbas by the count of 4 to 2.

St. Louis came through with the game-winning runs in the 8th inning plating 3
runs utilizing 3 base hits.  Lush started the inning off right when he drew a
walk.  Miller Huggins was next to the plate, but was promptly struck out.
After another out, Rebel Oakes then stroked a single.  Ed Konetchy followed
next and he drew a walk to load the bases.  Steve Evans stepped into the box
and slapped a one-base hit driving in two more baserunners.  Roger Bresnahan
added to the uprising and laced a base-hit scoring the final run of the
inning.  The Brooklyn batters went down meekly in the bottom of the 9th.

The winning pitcher was Lush(10-7) who allowed 2 runs for the game. George
Bell(6-13) suffered the loss.  He allowed 6 hits and 4 walks in 8 innings.
