Harry Krause went the distance and third baseman Jim Doyle had 4 hits and 3
RBI at American League Park as the Brooklyn Dodgers beat the Washington
Nationals by the count of 7 to 3.

Doyle was a thorn in the side of the hometown fans as he enjoyed a fine day at
their team's expense.  He laced a base-knock in the 2nd inning, doubled in
the 4th inning, ripped a base-knock in the 6th inning and belted a three-run
homer in the 8th inning.  Brooklyn managed 12 hits in their victory.  

The victory went to Krause(5-6) who went the distance allowing 3 runs. Eddie
Cicotte(4-13) took the loss.  He was touched for 11 hits and 3 walks in 7
innings.  

Wth the win Brooklyn now has a record of 49-69.  With the loss, the Washington
ballclub's record is 52-62.
