St. Louis set the tone of the game in the first inning when they scored 4 runs
on 1 hit. Buffalo had 13 hits in the game while St. Louis had 10, but St.
Louis had the more timely hits.
Bob Groom(10-10) allowed 5 runs in 8 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Ernie Herbert recorded the save, his 5th. Rube Marshall(0-3)
suffered the loss. He had trouble throwing strikes and issued 9 walks in 5
