really laid it on the Cleveland Forest Citys(C) 23 to 5.
Start really lit it up for New York. The Cleveland fans let him have it for
what he did to their boys. He slapped a one-base hit in the 2nd inning,
laced a base-hit in the 3rd inning, laced a base-knock scoring a run in the
6th inning, doubled scoring two baserunners in the 7th inning and lofted a
three-run bomb in the 7th inning. New York bats were hot in the 6th inning
which saw them plate 4 runs on 4 hits and the 7th inning when they had 14
runs on 11 hits. New York had 23 hits for the afternoon.
Wolters(13-9), allowing 5 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Al
Pratt(7-10) took the loss. He was not very effective, surrendering 23 runs
in 9 innings.
