Dan Daub tossed a complete game and George Treadway had 4 hits and 2 RBI at
Eastern Park as the Brooklyn Grooms beat the New York Giants by the count of
10 to 3.

Brooklyn took the lead for good in the bottom of the 3rd inning with 2 runs
utilizing 2 base hits.  Candy Lachance started the inning off right when he
drew a walk.  After an out was recorded, Daub came to bat and drew a walk.
Mike Griffin then ripped a single.  Tommy Corcoran followed next and he drew
a walk to load the bases.  Treadway came up to bat and ripped a base-hit
which was good for two runs.  Brooklyn rapped out 15 hits for the afternoon.

Daub(12-8) was the winner allowing 3 runs for the game. Huyler Westervelt(4-8)
was the loser.  He got hit hard, allowing 11 hits and 6 walks in 7 and 1/3
innings.
