Elmer Brown allowed Brian Capsello to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete
game as the New York-NL Giants outscored the Brooklyn Dodgers 7 to 4.

New York-NL jumped on top of Brooklyn in the top of the 6th inning when they
came up with 3 runs on 2 hits.  The biggest moment was provided by Fred
Luderus who deflated the spirits of the home town crowd when he doubled
clearing all three ducks off the pond.  New York-NL finished with 11 hits in
the victory.  

Brown(2-1) lasted until the end allowing 4 runs for the win. Christy
Mathewson(15-11) was the loser.  He was touched for 10 hits and 2 walks in 7
innings.
