Tommy Dowd had 4 hits and 2 RBI and Kid Gleason pitched a complete game at
Eclipse Park as the St. Louis Browns, running on all cylinders, ripped the
Louisville Colonels by a large 16 to 4 margin.

St. Louis set the tone of the game in the first inning plating one baserunner
on 3 hits.  Dowd doubled.  After an out was recorded, Heinie Peitz came up
and he lined a single scoring the run.  St. Louis lit up the scoreboard in
the 3rd inning which saw them score 5 runs on 4 hits and the 4th inning when
they had 10 runs on 8 hits.  St. Louis had 16 hits for the afternoon.

Gleason(13-14) got the victory, allowing 4 runs for the game. The losing
pitcher was Jock Menefee(1-2).  He got hammered, allowing 16 hits and 3 walks
in 9 innings.
