Steve Brodie had 6 hits and 3 RBI and Kid Gleason tossed a complete game as
the Baltimore Orioles ballclub embarrassed the Philadelphia Phillies by the
count of 16 to 5.

Brodie had a big day against Philadelphia.  He doubled in the 2nd inning,
banged out a single in the 3rd inning, doubled bringing in two baserunners in
the 4th inning, smacked a one-base hit in the 6th inning, laced a base-hit
plating a run in the 7th inning and doubled in the 9th inning.  Baltimore lit
up the scoreboard in the 2nd inning which saw them plate 4 runs on 3 hits and
the 4th inning with 6 runs on 5 hits.  Baltimore banged out 21 hits on the
afternoon.  

Gleason(9-5) allowed 5 runs on the game. Kid Carsey(11-8) ended up with the
loss.  He was touched for 21 hits and 4 walks in 9 innings.  

With the win, Baltimore continued their winning ways; their streak now stands
at 6 games and counting.
