TEAM RISP- Beaneaters: 12 for 24 Colonels: 5 for 16

It was an amazing offensive display in Eclipse Park where the Boston
Beaneaters beat the Louisville Colonels by the score of 16 to 12 in.

Hugh Duffy led the offense for Boston. He singled plating two runs in the 3rd
inning, slapped a base-hit which brought home a run in the 4th inning and
doubled bringing in two baserunners in the 6th inning. Boston bats were hot
in the 3rd inning when they had 7 runs on 7 hits and the 4th inning with 5
runs on 4 hits. Louisville scored in 5 different innings, but their shaky
pitching kept them from victory.

The win went to Kid Nichols(21-5) who allowed 12 runs in the game. Frank
Todd(0-2) was the loser. He struggled with his control issuing 8 walks in 5
innings.
