Harry Davis had 2 base hits as the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Philadelphia-NL
Phillies in 10 innings by a score of 4 to 3.

Both teams had scored 3 runs after nine full innings.  Finally, Pittsburgh
prevailed in the 10th inning.  Harry Wolverton laced a base-knock.  Wolverton
then stole second base.  Charlie Dexter then laid down a sacrifice bunt.
Tommy Corcoran followed next and he laced a base-hit resulting in an exciting
win for Pittsburgh and a raucous post-game celebration by the home town fans.
Pittsburgh banged out 12 hits on the afternoon.  

The victory was credited to Nick Altrock(3-5) who went 2 innings, allowing 1
run. War Sanders(1-1) was given the loss in relief.
