Noodles Hahn went the distance and Sam Woodruff had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as
the Cincinnati Reds outscored the Philadelphia Phillies 8 to 3.

Philadelphia never recovered after Cincinnati took the lead in the 6th inning
with 2 runs utilizing 2 base hits.  After an out was recorded, Heinie Peitz
initiated the scoring spurt when he reached on an error.  Woodruff was next
and he tripled driving in a run.  Admiral Schlei then hit a sacrifice fly
scoring the final run of the inning.  Cincinnati had a total of 12 hits for
the game.  

The victory went to Hahn(8-9) who went the distance allowing 3 runs. Frank
Corridon(10-5) was the losing pitcher.  He got hit hard, allowing 12 hits and
3 walks in 9 innings.
