Third baseman Bill Serena left the yard as the Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the
Boston-AL Red Sox by a score of 4 to 1 at Forbes Field.
Pittsburgh took the lead for keeps in the bottom of the 2nd inning plating one
baserunner. After an out was recorded, Serena smashed a bases-empty
'big-fly'. Pittsburgh finished with 7 hits in the victory.
