Third baseman Bill Rigney had 4 hits and 4 RBI at Wrigley Field as the
Philadelphia-NL Phillies belted the Chicago-NL Cubs by the count of 13 to
0.

Rigney provided much of the offense.  He doubled with all three runners coming
home in the 1st inning, lined a one-base hit in the 3rd inning, doubled which
plated a run in the 4th inning and laced a base-hit in the 8th inning.
Overall Philadelphia-NL out-hit Chicago-NL 15 to 7.  

The win was credited to Bobby Shantz(10-9) who went 8 innings allowing no
runs. Bob Cain(4-14) was the loser.  He allowed a few too many baserunners
giving up 12 hits and 4 walks in 3 and 1/3 innings.  

Wth the win Philadelphia-NL now has a record of 63-46.  With the loss
Chicago-NL now has a record of 58-59.
