Center fielder George Van Haltren ripped 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Ad
Gumbert went the distance at Exposition Park where the Pittsburg Pirates beat
the Cincinnati Reds 10 to 7.

Van Haltren had a good day at the plate.  He clubbed a solo home run in the
1st inning, smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 2nd inning, lined a
single which plated a run in the 4th inning and slapped a one-base hit in the
7th inning.  Pittsburg dominated offensively as they scored in 6 different
innings.  

Gumbert(7-2) got the victory, allowing 7 runs for the game. Silver King(10-6)
was hit with the loss.  He allowed 13 hits and 4 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.
