Jerry Nops completed the game without help from the bullpen and right fielder
Cy Seymour had 3 base hits and 2 RBI as the impressive Baltimore Orioles beat
the Boston Americans by a score of 8 to 7.
The game started off with Baltimore taking the lead in the first as they
scored 3 runs on 2 base hits. Boston made it exciting in the 9th, but they
were unable to push the needed runs across.
Nops(8-4) lasted until the end allowing 7 runs for the win. George Winter(4-9)
was the loser. 'I just wanted to give my team a chance to win.' said Nops,
'I got burned on a couple of pitches. But we won the game, and that's all
that matters.'
