Jimmy Sheckard had a big day against New York-NL. He doubled resulting in a
run in the 5th inning, ripped a single scoring a run in the 7th inning and
tripled bringing home two baserunners in the 8th inning. Cincinnati ended up
with 17 hits for the game while New York-NL had 5.
The victory went to Siever(15-13) who went 7 innings, allowing no runs. Jack
Powell(14-11) absorbed the loss. He was knocked around, surrendering 11 runs
