Shortstop Rudy Hulswitt had 2 base hits as the Washington Nationals defeated
the St. Louis-AL Browns in 15 innings by the score of 2 to 1 at American
League Park.

Both teams were tied at 1 runs apiece after nine innings. Finally, Washington
prevailed in the 15th inning.  After an out was recorded, Hulswitt tripled.
George Stovall came next and he smacked a single making Washington the
victors to the delight of the home town faithful.  Washington and St.
Louis-AL each finished the afternoon with 10 hits.  

The victory went to Eddie Cicotte(8-7) who went 6 innings, allowing no runs.
The losing pitcher was Tom Hughes(1-3) in relief.  He allowed 3 hits and 3
walks in 4 innings.
