Ed Summers went the distance and Art Devlin had 2 base hits at Palace of the
Fans as the Cincinnati Reds won a thriller over the Brooklyn Dodgers in, 3 to
1.

Cincinnati won the game with a rally in the 9th inning plating 2 runs
utilizing 2 base hits.  Devlin kicked off the action when he laced a single.
Joe Tinker stepped into the batter's box and he laid down a sacrifice bunt.
Fred Luderus then lifted one out of the park for a two run home run giving
Cincinnati the win and sending the home town fans into a frenzy.  Cincinnati
had a total of 11 hits for the game.  

The win went to Summers(10-5) who allowed 1 run in the game. Larry Pape(3-11)
absorbed the loss in relief.  He pitched 1/3 of an inning allowing 2 hits and
no walks.
