Eddie Cicotte allowed Nixey Callahan to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete
game and Morrie Rath had 3 base hits at Comiskey Park as the Washington
Nationals lost a heartbreaker to Chicago White Sox by the score of 5 to
4.

Chicago scored the deciding run in the bottom of the 9th inning.  After an out
was recorded, Ernie Johnson tripled.  Walt Kuhn stepped up next and he laced
a base-hit giving Chicago the win as 5,384 happy fans joyfully celebrated.
Chicago finished with 9 hits in the victory.  

Cicotte(5-7) allowed 4 runs on the game. Tom Hughes(8-8) took the loss in
relief.  'I struggled a bit out there today,' Cicotte said, 'but I toughed it
out and we got the win.'
